Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by EdgePeer, including EdgePeer Connect, EdgePeer Direct, and EdgePeer Global. EdgePeer is a brand operated by IP Unity BV, a company registered in the Netherlands with its principal place of business at Saffierborch 18, 5241LN Rosmalen, Netherlands. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
1. Definitions
- Customer: Any individual, business, or organization that uses EdgePeer services.
- Services: Includes IP transit, cross-connects, routing, remote access, and any other service provided by EdgePeer.
- Network: The EdgePeer-operated infrastructure, including its PoPs, upstream providers, and interconnects.
- RIPE Resources: Any IPv4/IPv6 or ASN resource allocated through the RIPE NCC to EdgePeer or its customers.
2. Service Scope
EdgePeer provides IP connectivity, transport, and routing services across multiple European facilities:
- EdgePeer Connect: IP Transit with BGP support and dedicated ports (1G–100G).
- EdgePeer Direct: Deep integration with selected platforms into the EdgePeer network.
- EdgePeer Global: Remote or third-party access to the EdgePeer backbone via tunnel or partner PoPs.
All services are provided on a best-effort basis unless specified in a separate SLA.
3. Billing & Payment
- Monthly invoices are issued in advance for port and commit usage.
- Overage charges apply when 95th percentile usage exceeds the agreed commit.
- Payment terms are Net 15 days unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Unpaid invoices may result in suspension or termination of service.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Customers must ensure proper BGP configuration and prefix announcement.
- Only IP prefixes authorized via LOA, MNT, or assignment may be used.
- Prefixes must be registered in a valid IRR and covered by ROAs (if RIPE space).
- rDNS is available upon request for EdgePeer-issued space.
5. RIPE NCC / LIR Compliance
- Customers must provide valid legal and contact information.
- End User Assignment Agreements (EUAs) may be required.
- EdgePeer reserves the right to reclaim IP space in cases of policy violation or lack of usage justification.
- Customers must cooperate with RIPE NCC audits as required.
6. Peering Policy
- EdgePeer operates an open peering policy via public and private exchanges.
- Route leaks, hijacks, and unauthorized redistribution of EdgePeer-learned routes are prohibited.
- Peering misuse may result in immediate disconnection or filtering.
7. Limitation of Liability
EdgePeer shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Liability is limited to one month of service fees for the affected service.
8. Indemnification
Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless EdgePeer, its affiliates, and staff from any third-party claims resulting from their use of the services.
9. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
- No illegal activity (e.g. CSAM, fraud, malware, terrorism).
- No DDoS, spoofing, or hijacking.
- All BGP advertisements must be valid, authorized, and clean.
- No sending of unsolicited bulk email (spam).
- No redistribution of EdgePeer routes unless authorized.
10. Abuse & Enforcement
- Abuse reports should be sent to abuse@edgepeer.net.
- EdgePeer reserves the right to filter, suspend, or terminate services due to violations.
- EdgePeer may null-route affected IPs to protect network integrity.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be handled under the jurisdiction of the District Court of Oost-Brabant (’s-Hertogenbosch), unless overridden by mandatory law.
